Girard Perregaux Laureato Absolute Infrared

Girard-Perregaux replica will release a new timepiece specially designed for the Chinese market with a forged carbon dial. The advent of the Laureato Absolute Infrared model marked an interesting time for the manufacturer.

Consistent with other Absolute models, the new Laureato Absolute Infrared uses modern materials. In this case, the 44mm case is made of grade 5 titanium, the surface is PVD treated, and it is paired with a unique forged carbon dial and a striking red hue. Finally, although the watch has an avant-garde appearance, it still makes full use of the brand’s expertise in watchmaking and is equipped with a watchmaking movement.

Girard-Perregaux’s long history of providing products to the Asian market can be traced back 160 years, when François Perregaux, the brother-in-law of Constant Girard, one of the founders of Maison, lived and cooperated in the area. China has always been a vibrant market, which is of great significance to the Mason Group. A few months ago, the d Quasar Infrared released by the brand was produced exclusively for the Chinese market. Now, it has returned to a new model, Laureato Absolute Infrared, once again exclusively produced for mainland China. Later this year, Girard-Perregaux will open a boutique in China, which is the company’s first store and further proves its commitment to this important region.

The Laureato absolute infrared box is housed in a 44mm grade 5 titanium case with PVD. Titanium was chosen as the watch case because of its light weight, which increases the comfort of the wearer, while the PVD treatment gives the model an excellent stealth appearance. Despite its modern feel, the case also showcases unparalleled traditional craftsmanship, and clever use of polished and satin finishes. This model has an octagonal bezel. This design feature first appeared in the legendary Laureato in 1975, and its features continue to attract people’s attention.

The dial of this latest work is made of forged carbon, which is an ultra-modern material produced by an ultra-time-consuming process. Everything starts with carbon fiber filaments, which are cut to length, accurately weighed and placed in a mold. The liquid resin is added to the carbon fiber bundle, and then heated and pressurized. The resulting material is then ground into the desired shape and thickness to form a strong and lightweight dial. Due to the random arrangement of carbon fiber lines, each dial has its own unique appearance.

The baton-style hour and minute hands come alive with red cueing and work with the bold red index to clarify the current time. Unlike other Laureato Absolute models, the new infrared version avoids the sandwich dial structure and presents the technically forged carbon skin as a charming canvas with randomly arranged patterns. These graduations are not fixed on the dial in the traditional way, but diverge from the flange downward, and slope downward toward the fulcrum flange of the dial. The gentle central sweeping seconds hand slides on the minute track, appears on the flange, and the date is displayed at 6 o’clock. Similar to the paintings of old masters, the dial of Laureato Absolute Infrared has texture and depth.

The self-winding movement GP0330-1060 is the core of Laureato’s absolute infrared movement. It consists of 218 components, all of which are produced according to Girard-Perregaux’s strict standards.

The watch is displayed on a black rubber strap with red stitching. The strap is integrated into the case and has an impressive ergonomic relationship with the wearer’s wrist. The folding buckle with a fine adjustment system provides the owner with a way to fine-tune the size of the strap to achieve the best fit. Like the case, the buckle is made of titanium and is treated with PVD, which brings a harmonious aesthetic to the model. nice watches
